Hyped as the next in line to steal the space disco crown away from Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, Scandinavia’s Todd Terje will be the guest at the next installment of the Future Classic Label Night on Saturday 26th April, a monthly event to showcase one of Australia’s finest underground electronic music labels. It’ll be his only appearance in Sydney, and it’ll also represent the Future Classic crew’s debut at the Civic Underground, what’s fast becoming Sydney’s hottest underground venue.
While he’s just 26 years old, Todd Terje has already made his mark on the so called ‘disco revival’, seeing his tracks released on a wide range of labels including Full Pupp, Kitsune, Kompakt, Get Physical, Permanent Vacation and many more. Bringing a sound that skips freely across house, funk, techno and disco while refusing to be pinned down, some of his hits have included Eurodans and Mjøndalen Diskoklubb while on the remix front, he’s made waves with his reinterpretation of fellow space disco kingpin Lindstrøm’s Another Station.
Check him out for yourself when Todd Terje headlines April’s Future Classic Label Night at the Civic Underground on Saturday 26th April. Tickets on sale on ITM, and have a listen below to his mix of Lindstrøm’s Another Station.
